About Cafe Thanh Thanh
Cafe Thanh Thanh is a vietnamese in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1100 Washington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19147, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Philadelphia, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10 AM–6:30 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Best chicken pho EVER and very sweet and attentive staff.

They changed their name but it’s the same owners as the previous place here and same as pho ga thanh thanh in kensington. No menu, just one thing for sale: pho ga. You can choose to have your chicken in the bowl, or chopped up on a plate for your group to share half a chicken or a whole chicken. Having the chicken on a separate plate is more expensive but also has more chicken. Portion for a regular pho ga with chicken in the bowl was about 13.50. There’s a credit card fee if you pay with card. Cash payment preferred.

Plain pho + 1/4 chicken always hits the spot. For two people, my total comes out to about $30. I always get white meat only as I’m not a fan of picking my way through bone, or the organ meat. They’re always very accommodating with my request. Been coming here for a year, I never go anywhere else when it comes to chicken pho! Broth is super clean tasting compared to beef pho.

Cafe Thanh Thanh is definitely worth checking out! The pho ga was delicious, with a flavorful, aromatic broth and tender chicken that made every bite so satisfying. The food has that authentic, traditional Vietnamese taste that’s becoming harder to find. You can tell there’s a lot of care and family tradition behind the recipes. I’ll definitely be coming back!

One of the best bowls of pho ga I’ve had in a long time! The broth is rich, flavorful, and has that comforting homemade taste that brought me right back to my old favorites in Kensington. It’s amazing to see the same family tradition continue through the owner’s son. The flavor is authentic, nostalgic, and absolutely delicious. Definitely will come back for more!
